2007 The Caravan Club Magazine – Elecsol 90/110
The Elecsol battery is a clear winner for several reasons. Carbon fibre plate construction makes it light weight, of obvious benefit when lifting and carrying. Carbon fibre is also a strong material and conducts electricity well. Suitable for both leisure use and car starting, mounting lugs are moulded on the battery casing. This battery is competitively priced and comes with a five year guarantee. |

1998 Caravan Life
We feel that the performance given by this battery is more than up to standards and certainly better than many other batteries on the market. We chose the larger of the two batteries, And at 90 – 110 ampere hours (ah), charged it fully and then put it through a series of heavy discharges. The voltage checked every half hour until it had reached 12V. We then lowered the voltage to just under 11V. The battery was taken off load, allowed to settle and further discharged with a five-amp load 10.8V. If the battery is to recover from any treatment received, it will regain its original full voltage of 12V under charge after being allowed to settle for 12 hours. If permanent damage has been done, it will not recover. After the second discharge, the battery was put back on charge and left for 24 hours. During this time, it dropped back to a nominal float voltage of 13.8 V. It was then disconnected. After a further 12 hours, the voltage was rechecked every 12 hours for a three-day period, during which the open circuit voltage remained steady at 12.7V. |

1998 WHICH Motorcaravan
The WHICH motorcaravan independent test gives ELECSOL carbon fibre leisure batteries the thumbs up. A new name in the leisure battery field, Elecsol employs carbon fibre in the construction of the battery plates to extend their working life and capacity to provide an increased workable output. The new battery is smaller than its equivalents in the leisure field; so would be advantageous when space is at a premium. |
